Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of totegoatmoving.com and the moving-tote rental service provided by Tote GOAT(“Tote GOAT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site or reserving totes, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our service.

The service

Tote GOAT rents reusable moving totes and related supplies, with delivery and pickup, to customers in our Metro Detroit service area (Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties). Service availability, pricing, and rental periods are described on the Site and confirmed at the time of booking.

Reservations and quotes

Submitting a reservation request is an inquiry, not a confirmed booking. A rental is confirmed only when we accept it and agree on delivery details with you. Quotes are based on the information you provide; if the actual job differs, pricing may change — and we'll tell you before we charge you.

Rental terms

• Totes and equipment remain the property of Tote GOAT at all times and are rented to you for the agreed period.
• You are responsible for the totes while they are in your possession and agree to use them only for their intended purpose.
• You agree not to overload totes beyond a reasonable weight, use them for hazardous, illegal, or perishable materials, or alter, paint, or label them.
• Totes must be available, empty, and ready for pickup at the agreed time and location.

Fees, damage, and late returns

You agree to pay the rental fees and any applicable delivery, pickup, or additional charges. Totes returned damaged beyond normal wear, missing, or kept past the agreed rental period may incur replacement or late fees as disclosed to you at booking. We'll always explain any extra charge before applying it.

Cancellations and changes

You may request to reschedule or cancel a reservation by contacting us. We'll do our best to accommodate changes; cancellation or rescheduling terms communicated at booking apply.

Your content and communications

When you contact us or submit a form, you confirm the information is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it. By giving us your phone number or email, you consent to receive messages about your reservation as described in our Privacy Policy.

SMS / text messaging program

Tote GOAT messaging. Our reservation form offers two separate, optional SMS opt-ins. Service updates are transactional messages about your move — delivery windows, scheduling, pickup reminders, confirmations, and replies to your questions. Offers & promotions are occasional marketing messages, and consent to receive them is never a condition of any purchase. You only receive the message types you opt into, at the number you provide. You must be 18 years of age or older to opt into and use this SMS messaging service.

• You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Simply reply STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will confirm your unsubscribe via SMS, and you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. To rejoin, opt in again as you did initially and we will resume sending messages.
• If you experience any issues with the messaging program, reply with the keyword HELP for assistance, or reach out directly to info@totegoatmoving.com or (888) 550-1470.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies. For questions about your text plan or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
• Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

Disclaimers

The Site and service are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are responsible for properly packing, loading, and securing your belongings; Tote GOAT is not responsible for damage to items you pack.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tote GOAT will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or service. Our total liability for any claim related to a rental will not exceed the amount you paid for that rental.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site or service means you accept the updated Terms.
